Project Scope
General scope was to install a 12” tie-in on the Origin Mainline which will connection to new 12” Terminal Discharge Mainline and install a 16” tie-in to the 16” Client’s customer facility mainline pipeline which will connection into clients terminal as a new Mainline Suction, and also reconnecting the 8” clients pipeline to the 8” customers pipeline. All work for the connections to these lines at the Swisher Junction Valve Site. This interconnect will give client and its customers a triple bypass system for batched products coming and going from one Refinery to the next Refinery and a new Docking system.
Our Scope
CERA provided comprehensive planning and execution services for the active pipeline modifications while maintaining uninterrupted operations for their clients and their clients' customers. Services included multi-party coordination with operators, shippers, control centers, and specialty vendors; management of phased tie-ins and reconnections on 8-, 12-, and 16-inch pipelines; stopple operations, pigging, draining, and nitrogen purging; and installation of valves, spools, and mainline modifications. The team oversaw safety planning, lockout/tagout and pressure control, quality control and NDE, and preparation of as-built documentation, delivering controlled isolation and safe return to service without unplanned outages.
