Project Scope: 

Happ Road will be reconstructed and widened to a three-lane cross section from Winnetka Road to Orchard Lane including a new roundabout near the Village of Northfield's municipal center.  A shared-use path will be constructed on the west side of Happ Road and a sidewalk on the east side of Happ Road. A new signalized mid-block crossing will be constructed at Happ Road Park to increase pedestrian safety.   

Our Scope:

CERA prepared signing and pavement marking plans that included the new roundabout.  CERA also provided analysis, design and plan preparation for sidewalk ramp improvements along Happ Road and at the new roundabout to bring into compliance with current PROWAG and ADA standards.
